Spray Foam Insulation

Having the right insulation at the proper level is a key part of your home’s performance. However, different areas of your home require different types of insulation. This is why Green Home Energy offers all forms of insulation to make sure we can maximize your home performance. We offer the following insulation product and services:

  • Closed Cell Spray Foam: Closed cell foam is a high performance material that has a high R-value, and fantastic air sealing properties. This makes it ideal for insulating tight areas such as vaulted ceilings, or when working on areas where air sealing is critical like basement bonds.
  • Blown Fiberglass: Blown fiberglass is also an excellent option when insulating an attic.   When insulating to high R-values, the weight of cellulose insulation can become a concern. High levels of lightweight blown fiberglass can be applied without damaging ceiling drywall.
  • Fiberglass Batt Insulation – Fiberglass batt insulation is a cost effective way to add R-value to wall cavities, and attic deck spaces. While mostly used in new construction, fiberglass batt can be used in some retrofit scenarios as well.
  • Blown Cellulose Insulation: Cellulose is a fantastic option for insulating attic spaces. Made from recycled newspaper, cellulose is an environmentally friendly and cost effective option to provide your attic space with an even and consistent R-value.
  • Dense Packed Cellulose Wall Insulation – When existing homes have little to no insulation in their walls, dense packing the wall cavities with cellulose insulation can be an excellent option. Holes are drilled from the exterior of the home, and each wall cavity is packed with cellulose material.   In a standard 2×4 cavity, the wall can be insulated above an R-13!
